Directions to the Solid Waste Facility (Landfill):
Coming from the west: From SR-2 East, take the Fairport Nursery Rd. exit, then turn right at the stop sign onto Fairport Nursery Rd., turn left at the stop light onto Route 20, turn left at the stop light onto Bacon Road, at the first stop sign turn right onto Blase Nemeth Rd. Continue driving on Blase Nemeth Rd. The landfill will be on your left, about ½ mile down the road.
Enter the landfill facility through the open gate and drive up the scale house ramp to the service window (The scale house is the small brick building before you as you enter the gate).
Coming from the east: From North Ridge Rd./Route 20 West, merge right onto Blase Nemeth Road just before the State Route 2 on ramp. Continue driving on Blase Nemeth Rd. The landfill will be on your right, about ½ down the road.

- All vehicles must be tarped.
- Saturdays are reserved for lake county residents only with cars and pickups.
- No commercial trucks, dump trucks, dump trailers, stake body trucks or box vans are permitted on Saturday.

Note 1
All Weighed Waste Charges are subject to a Basic Fee, plus a Host Fee, plus a State Fee, plus an In-district or Out-of-District Fee, and a Generating County Fee. The total fee charged will vary depending on the county that the waste is generated in. Contact LCDU regarding fees for waste generated outside of Lake County.
Note 2
The Lake County Solid Waste Facility Employees will determine whether a load is to be dumped in the drop-off building or directly in the landfill. The decision will depend on, among other things, the weather, the condition of the landfill roadways, and the condition of the vehicle carrying the load.
Refuse: Lake County Solid Waste will not accept the following:
- Out of State Waste
- Whole building Construction and Demolition Debris that has not been pre-approved
- Hazardous Waste and Liquid Waste: paints, paint products, chemicals, sprays, pesticides, batteries, automotive fluids, household cleaners, used motor oil, except Universal Wastes on Saturdays from Lake County Residents
- Yard Waste: brush, tree branches, stumps, grass, leaves, firewood, weeds, & bushes
