Lake County Commissioners Amend Operating Procedures at County Buildings
The Board of Lake County Commissioners continues to consult with public health officials to ensure that we can provide the countless public services for our citizens and businesses at our County facilities. Our goal is to maintain quality and timely services to the best of our ability during this unprecedented public health event. In doing so, the County must also provide a safe working environment for our employees and visitors while adhering to the various local, state and federal public health protocols currently in place.
Effective Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at 12:00 p.m. all County offices will adjust to an alternative service model and suspend public interface in county-owned facilities. Offices will maintain normal operating hours with flexible staff levels, but the county buildings will not be open to the public.
Please contact the appropriate County Court for their schedule and availability (numbers listed below). Regarding the election, please contact the Board of Elections at 440.350.2700 for their operating hours. Limited exceptions exist for Job and Family Services inquiries. Please contact JFS at 440.350.4000.
A large number of county functions can be completed via email, regular mail, fax or telephone correspondence. Examples include, but are not limited to, paying utility bills, submitting bid documents and building permit applications.
Residents and businesses are encouraged to visit the “Elected Officials” and “County Department” tabs at the top of the County website at www.lakecountyohio.gov for more information and specific contact information.
