Richard J. Regovich Elected President of the Lake County Board of Commissioners
PAINESVILLE, Ohio, January 9, 2025– Commissioner Richard J. Regovich was elected President of the Lake County Board of Commissioners during the Organizational Meeting held on January 9, 2025. He first took office as the 81st Commissioner of Lake County on November 29, 2022, and won reelection on November 5, 2024. The Honorable Judge Robert J. Patton administered the oath of office for his second term.
Commissioner Regovich’s vision for Lake County emphasizes public safety, economic growth, and a high quality of life for all residents. He is dedicated to working with local school systems, trade schools, and universities to develop a skilled and talented workforce that will drive economic development and innovation in our community.
Born and raised in the City of Willowick, Commissioner Regovich has a deep understanding of the community’s needs and values. He is a lifelong resident who has been involved in public service for many years, serving on various local boards and commissions, including the Willowick Planning Commission, the Willowick Charter Review Committee, and the Willowick City Council.
