The Lake County Engineer’s Office has contracted with Suburban Maintenance & Construction, Inc. for the replacement of the Waite Hill Road Bridge over the Chagrin River in the City of Willoughby and the Village of Waite Hill.
Beginning Monday, May 18, 2020, the Waite Hill Road Bridge over the Chagrin River will be closed to all traffic. The bridge is expected to re-open again in mid-November.
The closure is necessary to remove the existing bridge and replace it with a new composite prestressed box beam bridge. Additional work includes new approach slabs, guardrail, signing and pavement markings.
The posted detour is Hobart Road, Eagle Road, SR 174, SR 84 and Riverside Drive in Willoughby.
As always, drivers are reminded to be respectful of the closure and not move or drive around barricades while the road is closed.
