Disabled Veteran Tax Reduction
ATTENTION 100% (& IU) DISABLED VETERANS
A reduction in real property tax is available to qualified 100% permanently & totally disabled veterans or 100% based on Individual Unemployability (TDIU) as determined by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
The reduction is equal to the amount of tax that would be paid on up to $50,000 of the residence value! This also applies to property tax that may be paid on manufactured or mobile homes.
To qualify, you must have been discharged under honorable conditions from the Armed Forces of the United States and in receipt of a total disability rating from the VA, either 100% totally and permanently disabled (P&T) or in receipt of Individual Unemployability (IU).
Additionally, the residence must be your primary residence as of January 1st of that year.
